Better PreservationRefrigeration (typically 2-5°C) delays decay by slowing bacterial activity, while embalming actively eliminates bacteria within the body, providing superior preservation. There is no absolute answer to this question. It depends mainly on the deceased's conditions, cause of death, humidity and temperature of the storage environment, and strength of the embalming fluid used. Worry not! A well-trained embalmer (like ours) can take all factors into consideration and produce the best preservation plan and result. In general, a two-month preservation is totally achievable under the right conditions.

The consulate has the right to invalidate an embalming certificate issued by a non-certified embalmer. This will result in a significantly delayed repatriation and may incur extra costs (e.g. change of flight, examination / re-embalming carried out by a certified embalmer).
